The first days we were rising in the dark and cold to learn a long mantra and do exercises my stiff half-asleep body was really challenged by. But how it felt the rest of the day was intoxicating. My days are so much more productive, centered and focused. I feel a huge sense of accomplishment for doing something I thought would be impossible.
LOVE THE LIVER
Seasons have a reason; according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, each season relates to specific organs that are more active and going through a “cleansing” process. Spring is all about the liver, the organ where we store the emotions of anger & frustration.
The liver is the most important filter of our body. It is our primary organ of detoxification. Everything we eat and drink, including medications and supplements, is filtered through the liver. The liver governs our cholesterol levels, hormonal balance, and weight.
When it becomes overwhelmed with toxins, it deposits them in our fat cells and can cause bothersome physical and emotional symptoms.
According to Chinese Medicine, some signs of imbalance include headaches, teeth grinding, eye issues (especially the right eye), feeling hot all the time, PMS, fibroids, prostate inflammation, irritability, anger, impatience, hip pain, thyroid issues, toenail discoloration (especially yellow and large toes), waking up between 1 am and 3 am and feeling restless, an overall feeling of being stuck in one’s life.

Addictions come in many forms - procrastination, bad relationships, sugar, spending too much, anger, negative self-talk, nicotine, alcohol, and the biggest addiction most of us have, thinking too much.
Our meditation is a deep mind cleansing to release addictive habits not serving you. It is one of the most powerful Kundalini meditations and is categorized as a "medical meditation" by yogic science.
The pressure exerted by the thumbs in this meditation triggers a rhythmic reflex current into the central brain. This current activates the brain area directly underneath the stem of the pineal gland. An imbalance in this area makes mental and physical addictions seemingly unbreakable. Since the pituitary regulates the rest of the glandular system, the entire body and mind go out of balance.
